The Waynedale News receives an abundance of press releases and articles for each issue. Information that has a focus on Waynedale is given the highest priority. We try to evaluate all submissions on a timely basis.

TOASTMASTERS CLUB OPEN HOUSE

Add’l: The Open House is to acquaint members of the community with the benefits of developing Communication, Public Speaking, and Leadership skills. Refreshments will be served.

Add’l: Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the school, meet faculty and staff, explore clubs, athletics and performing arts, and learn more about the school’s college preparatory curriculum.
Break-out sessions will cover special education/exceptional learners and college and career readiness. Open to the public, please invite friends and family to attend the evening.

Why: To raise funds to help Waynedale Elementary purchase school uniforms and sporting equipment for students.
Add’l: The Fish or Chicken Strip dinners are “all you can eat” (except for carry-out) provided by Dan’s Fish Fry. You will have a choice of sides between potato salad, cold slaw, and applesauce. For drinks there will be coffee, lemonade,or kool aid. And for dessert there will be a wide variety to choose from!

Why: This event helps to raise funds to support the work of the local hearing clinic. HearCare Connection was established in 2011 to provide low-income and uninsured individuals & families reduced fees on hearing healthcare based on family size and household income.
