WAYNEDALE COMMUNITY PICNIC
When: August 22, 10a- 3p
Where: Waynedale Park, Intersection of 2900 Koons and Elzey Street- just off of Lower Huntington Road.
What: The Waynedale Community is celebrating the 13th year of its annual Waynedale Community Picnic. The picnic is a family friendly event that has been a long-standing tradition in the Waynedale community, drawing over 1,500 attendees yearly. This year’s picnic is presented by The Waynedale News, Circle City Audio and Hanson Aggregates and made possible by over a hundred local businesses and organizations who have donated to the community event. This year there will be a live family friendly performance by local band “Loudmouth Soup.” There will be free lunch and snacks. Fun to be had with bingo, kids games, inflatable obstacle course, appearances from our local police, EMT and fire departments, crafts, face painting, vendors and more. Come join us for a day full of excitement, food, games and music for all ages!

Why: To celebrate the contributions and talents of left-handers while raising funds to benefit the Allen County SPCA
Add’l: The 3rd annual local celebration of International Left-hander’s Day includes a reading of the Bill of Lefts, trivia contest, cornhole competition, Lefty’s Got Talent”, caricatures and a concert by People’s Choice Winner Hubie Ashcraft. All events are free. A Chinese auction will benefit the ACSPCA.
