WAYNE HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER OF THE MONTH
The Fort Wayne Mad Ants and McDonald’s have partnered to recognize two outstanding high school basketball players in the Fort Wayne community. In January, McDonald’s and the Mad Ants selected Adam Davison and Sh’Toya Sanders as the McDonald’s High School Players of the Month. Both players will be recognized at an upcoming Mad Ants home game.
Sh’Toya Sanders, a senior at Wayne High School, has been a strong asset for her team on both sides of the ball this season, noticeable in her latest game by recording 25 points and grabbing 16 rebounds in the victory over Concordia. She also scored 16 points with 12 rebounds as Wayne went on to beat Blackhawk Christian. Currently, for her senior season, Sanders is averaging 14.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game; she has recently signed her letter of intent to continue her basketball career at Chicago State University.
