MATTHEW P. JOHNSON, 42
MATTHEW P. JOHNSON, 42, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Born February 21, 1972, in Pontiac, Michigan, he was a son of Paul Johnson and Mary Ann Scheckel. He served in the U.S. Army. He later worked for the Allen County Juvenile Detention Center. He was very active in the Boy Scouts and served as a Scout Master of Troop 344.
Surviving family include his son, Connor Johnson; and mother, Mary Ann (Steve) Scheckel.
He was preceded in passing by his father, Paul.
A memorial service is 1 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Waynedale United Methodist Church, 2501 Church St., Fort Wayne, with a gathering of friends and family beginning at noon.
Memorials may be made to Boy Scout Troop 344.
