LERLAND WALDO FOGWELL, 88
LERLAND WALDO FOGWELL, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away, Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Hospice Home. He was born August 13, 1926 in Pleasant Township, Allen County to the late Herman W. and Ruth M. (Duff) Fogwell. He worked as a farmer, raising crops and livestock, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed, in his later years, woodworking and carpentry, making or repairing many items that have become treasured keepsakes.
He was a member of Avalon Missionary Church. He also loved traveling with his wife of 63 years along with his family, having taken 23 trips together.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Louise Fogwell of Fort Wayne; children, Deborah Ann (Mike) Benzinger of Roanoke, Nanette Marie (David) Baker of Fort Wayne, and Douglas Wayne (Teresa) Fogwell of Winfield, Illinois; brother, John W. Fogwell of Bluffton; grandchildren, Erin, Joshua, Kyle, Loren, Hanna, Megan, and Tyler; step grandchildren, Jason, Tom, Andrea, and Aleachia; great grandchildren, Andrew, Aubree, Alaythea, and Henry; and seven step great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Avalon Missionary Church, 1212 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation was also on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Nine Mile Cemetery.
