HOOSIER ASTRONAUT LIVE FROM INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION
President Pro Tem David Long (R-Fort Wayne) and members of the Indiana Senate hosted a live Statehouse-to-space conversation with NASA Commander Kevin A. Ford and Hoosier native on Thursday, February 7, 2013 during the Hoosier astronaut’s current mission.
“I want to thank the Ford family for contacting the Senate to arrange this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Commander Ford to speak to his late brother’s colleagues from space,” Long said. “This was the first time anything like this has ever taken place at the Statehouse, and I was honored to host the event.”
