MELBA JUNE KIZER, 89
MELBA JUNE KIZER, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012. She was born May 20, 1923 in Jay County, Indiana to the late Ira Delbert and Doris Lavina (Rowland) Earehart. Mrs. Kizer retired in 1984 after 25 years at Lincoln National Life Insurance Company and after retirement she worked at Kohls for 12 years. She was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Richard (Joy, deceased) Kizer of Bishop, California, Harley W. (Kaye) Kizer of Port Orchard, Washington, Darlene (Dan) Shallenberger of Maineville, Ohio, and Linda (Steve) Ashcroft of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Thomas Kizer, in 1990 and brother, Denzel Earehart.
Funeral Service will be Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Waynedale United Methodist Church, 2501 Church Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation will also be Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 3 to 7 P.M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
