Thank you for letting me share your very special day, I can’t think of anywhere else I would have rather been today.”

On Sunday, September 11th, Master Sergeant Anthony Johnston chose to retire, as the 122nd Fighter Wing-Home of the Blacksnakes, was operating at Force Protection Bravo. Yes, 9/11.
Master Sergeant Tony Johnston is one of those heroes that stepped to the front when the need called for it. Yes, he’s a hero. A hero, one who does ordinary work under abnormal or dangerous conditions. An American who does his job. He doesn’t blow his horn – he doesn’t look for thanks.
To hundreds of family, friends and fellow service men and women Tony spoke of his experiences in the Air Guard. From collecting rocks, to cleaning out his sock drawer, to making friends. He said, “It was the best of best and the worst of worst.”
Thank you Tony, from the bottom of our hearts for your service to our country. You are an inspiration to all of us.
