GERALD EDWARD KROUSE, 62
GERALD EDWARD KROUSE, 62, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Valparaiso, IN. Mr. Krouse was born November 22, 1948 in Fort Wayne to the late Edgar and Clara Belle (Brewer) Krouse. He worked at Gladieux Refinery and then retired from Waterworks Pure Drinking Water as a service manager after more than 25 years. Mr. Krouse was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where he served as a coach at their school. Along with coaching he was the statistician for the Bishop Luers football team for many years.
Surviving are his children, Kristopher M. (Heidi) Krouse of Valparaiso and Kimberly A. Krouse of Indianapolis; brothers, Larry Krouse of Corpus Christi, Texas and Kenny Krouse of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Jacob A. Krouse, Abigail E. Krouse, Jennifer A. Blair, and Adam J. Blair.
Preceding Mr. Krouse in death in addition to his parents, was his wife, Dianne M. (Risteter) Krouse in 2007, sister, Sharon Tons and brother, Paul Krouse.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne, IN with calling ½ hour prior to services. Visitation was on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 4 to 8 P.M. with a rosary service at 5:30 P.M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne IN. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
