VELMA C. (BOLINGER) OSBUN, 86, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at Kingston Residence, Fort Wayne. Born June 13, 1924, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Melissa (Walker) Bolinger. She enjoyed sewing, baking, bowling, and gardening. She was married to Paul L. Osbun for 49 1/2 years; he passed away on Dec. 10, 1994. She is survived by her children, Kathy Osbun Dancer, Becky Osbun, Kevin (Mary) Osbun, Darren Osbun, Laurie (Kevin) Steele, and Amy (Michael) Deck; two sisters, Alta Shroyer of Erie, Pa. and Norma Francis of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Noel, Paul, Robert, Raymond, and Norman Bolinger; sisters, Betty Young, Doris Snyder, Ruth Fulk, and Esther Miller; and one grandchild. Funeral service 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with calling starting at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or the American Heart Association .
