For the 11th consecutive time, the University of Saint Francis will open the season in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Preseason Football in the Top 25-all under the direction of Head Coach Kevin Donley. They have a No. 17 berth heading into the Cougars’ 13th season.
This is the 130th consecutive NAIA rating that USF has been in the Top 25. NAIA compiles the voting from regional coaches to determine its Top 25 teams. The University of Saint Francis is one of five MSFA (Mid-States Football Association) teams in the Top 25, four from the Mideast League (MEL). Joining the Cougars from the MEL are St. Xavier (IL) at No. 4, Walsh University at No. 16 and Taylor University at No. 22.
University of St. Francis after playing at MSFA MWL member Iowa Wesleyan to open the season on Saturday, September 11, will return home to open the home portion of its schedule against No. 27 St. Ambrose University at noon on Saturday, September 18.
All home and away USF games will be carried this season by Redeemer Catholic Radio WLYV 1450 AM.
