QUENTIN J. FREIBURGER, 86, of Yoder, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at New Haven Care & Rehab Center. Born March 23, 1924, of Yoder, he was the son of the late Ambrose Freiburger and Veronica (Harber). He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a 1942 graduate of Lafayette Center High School. He married Rosemary May on May 5, 1951. He was a coil winder at General Electric Co., retiring after 42 years of service in 1984. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, American Legion Post 160 in Roanoke, and Knights of Columbus Council 13142.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Rosemary Freiburger of Yoder; three daughters, Leona (Jerry) Moore of Hoagland, Nancy (Keith “Gus”) Quatman of Ossian and Judy (John) Nonemaker of Plymouth, Indiana; two sons, Dale (Kathy) Freiburger of Markle and Doyle (Amy) Freiburger of Roanoke; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. and a sister, Myrtle Dinger of Payne Ohio.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Schuller and Alice Gordon; and four brothers, Norman, Phillip, Edgar, and Myron Freiburger.
Prayers 2 p.m. visitation 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Mass of Christian Burial was 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Fr. Dominic Carboneau officiating. Calling was from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, at the funeral home, with Rosary service at 8 p.m. Burial in St. Aloysius Church Cemetery, with Military graveside service.
