MAD ANTHONYS IS ALIVE
The annual Mad Anthonys Children’s Charity Classic golf event on Monday, June 14, 2010 was held at the Sycamore Hills Golf Club beginning at 7am. This year featured two-time major winner golf professional John Daly sporting his “grip-it-and-rip-it” style of play and attire. It was a great opportunity, for all ages, to see a true legend up close, right here in Fort Wayne.
The day was hot and so were the 147 players on the “not-so-easy” course. Putting on a great show to raise money for a good cause, pro’s like Bubba Dickerson, the 2001 U.S. Amateur champion-now on the Nationwide Tour, Robert Gamez, Scott Simpson, Don Pooley, Danah Ford Bordner, Jenny Gleason, and celebs like IPFW Volleyball Coach Arnie Ball, Actor/Writer Danny Chambers, Voice of the Komets/WOWO Bob Chase, Komets Head Coach Al Sims, former NY Jets player Jason Fabini, just to name a few, said they enjoyed the day’s event. “It’s all about having fun on a good course, and to have a good time,” said Chris Wilson, professional golfer.
It certainly was an exciting day of world-class golf held right here in Fort Wayne.
