CANCER SERVICES HOSTING 8TH ANNUAL LAPPER
Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana will present its annual fundraising walk, Lapper, on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Foster Park, located in southwest Fort Wayne.
Lapper 2010 is a fundraiser to honor or memorialize those touched by cancer. Each participant is encouraged to walk as many laps around the paved trail at Foster Park as they can. Each lap is approximately 2 miles. Lapper founder Jill Burnett encourages people to test their own endurance and push past their comfort zone just as people with cancer do every day.
Water and fresh fruit will be provided and the walk will take place, rain or shine. Bring the whole family—pets on a leash are welcome. Our goal is to raise $35,000 at this year’s event. All proceeds benefit Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
