Fortney Enterprises has announced the world premier of their new family friendly comedy farce, The New. Feelbetter Hospital. Billed as a dinner theater experience, this latest of now three hospital based plays by Monte and Rae Ann Fortney promises to be a night of family fun and laughter.
Returning yet again to his years of experience working within the medical community, Monte Fortney’s comedic genius shines through best in his wildly hilarious, and somewhat exaggerated, hospital farces. While he has not limited his comic vision to the medical field, this is where his largest amount of expertise lies.
Nonetheless, Monte (along with his wife, Rae Ann) has had much success with his many and varied comedies throughout the past decade. Besides their two previous hospital plays (So, You’re in the Hospital? and Who’s in the Hospital Now?), Fortney Enterprises has given us years of hilarity. Other plays include; And the Next President Is? Is This the Right Restaurant? Is This Your Neighborhood? So, You Want to be a Star? Hey, Coach. Can I Play? Honey, I Only Want to be With You, Darling, Please Say “I Do”, and Welcome to Dinky Dot Hotel and Resort, have all drawn from real life, with a zany, exaggerated bent thrown in for good measure. But, it is in his hospital plays that Monte Fortney is in his element.
The New. Feelbetter Hospital will be presented at the Waynedale United Methodist Church, on Friday, March 19th, Saturday, March 20th, Friday, March 26th, and Saturday, March 27th. The doors will open at 6:00pm, and dinner will be served in the church’s Fellowship Hall, starting at 6:30pm, with the show starting at 7:30pm, each night, in the church’s Main Worship Center. Tickets for both the dinner and show are $12, and require reservations. Phone 260-456-9704. For those who just want to see the show, tickets are $7, and while reservations aren’t necessary for show tickets only, calling and reserving tickets ahead of time is still recommended.
