CRABFEST TO BE NEW TRADITION FOR LUTHERAN LIFE VILLAGES
More than 430 people eagerly turned out to meet Captain Phil Harris of the Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch, feast on Alaskan crab, enjoy a variety of refreshments, and support Lutheran Life Villages’ Wellness Initiative during Crabfest ‘09 at the Scottish Rite Center on Monday evening, September 14.
Crabfest ‘09 was the first of what is anticipated to be a new Fort Wayne tradition. The final tally has yet to come in, but Crabfest ‘09 will have raised several thousands of dollars for Lutheran Life Villages’ Wellness Initiative, promoting on several levels the whole-person well-being of residents.
Prior to the event, Captain Phil visited the Lutheran Life Villages Fort Wayne campus on South Anthony Boulevard, sharing stories and smiles with residents.
