HOPPE CELEBRATING 60 YEARS OF MARRIAGE
John G. and Narcidel P. Hoppe of Salisbury, N.C. recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary by opening cards and dinner at home June 1. They were married June 1, 1949 at First Methodist Church, Borger, Texas. Their children are John Foy Hoppe of Hazard, Kentucky, Marsha G. Ban (Martin) of LaPorte, Nita G. Matuska (Mark) of Fort Wayne and Bruce L. Hoppe of Cleveland, Ohio.
They have three grandchildren, Tonya Barr, Evan Barr, and Landon Matuska.
John Hoppe is a retired Army/Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who served in WWII and a retired industrial engineer from General Electric after 34 years of service.
Narcidel Hoppe was a chemistry and language teacher from 1948-49 and a librarian in 1949 before becoming a full-time homemaker.
