COLLECTING SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR BIG BROTHER BIG SISTERS

Job’s Daughters Bethel #8 has recently been collecting school supplies for Big Brother Big Sisters. BBBS is always open to any donations for the children involved in their program but Job’s Daughters Bethel surprised them with a very big contribution. The girls and adult workers for Bethel collected as many crayons, notebooks, pencils, erasers, scissors, and rulers as they could and ended up donating 165 backpacks with school supplies that will be going to our local Big Brother Big Sister operations. BBBS says that this is one of the biggest contributions that they have ever received and are so thrilled to have a group like Job’s Daughters that works so hard to help out the children in their community. The girls in Bethel love working for the community. Job’s Daughters has their own philanthropic project called the HIKE Fund, which stands for Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment Fund, which they are always holding benefits for and presenting checks to children who are in need of hearing aids or hearing devices. They also volunteer at various places around the community. The girls of Bethel  are between the ages of 10 and twenty and are a really fun group that is determined to make a change for the better in the world. Soon they will be collecting food items and non-food items ( such as laundry detergent and diapers) for the Community Harvest Food Bank here in town. They look forward to seeing how much can be collected through this effort now that this much has been accomplished for BBBS.
