CHAMBER MEMBERS MAKE BIG “IMPACT”
The Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce is proud to extend congratulations to members Cindy Verduce of Indiana Tech and Fort Wayne Metals. Both were honored at the annual Indiana INTERNnet Impact Awards Luncheon in Indianapolis on February 2.
Cindy Verduce of Indiana Tech received the Outstanding Career Services Professional of the Year award. Verduce serves as director of Indiana Tech Career Planning and Development Center in Fort Wayne. Fort Wayne Metals was recognized as an Outstanding Employer in Northeast Indiana for its internship program. This is the first year in which Northeast Indiana businesses and professionals have been publicly recognized for their support of internships as a way to strengthen Indiana’s workforce.
“The recognition of Cindy Verduce, Indiana Tech, and of Fort Wayne Metals, a premier employer in the community, is exciting for Northeast Indiana,” says Kay Anthony, Graduate Retention Program Manager for the Chamber. “We are the number one region in the State for promoting internships through face-to-face contacts with employers and we have waited three years to have our region recognized at the Indiana INTERNnet’s Annual Impact Awards.”
Our best wishes to Cindy Verduce, Indiana Tech and to the great group of employees at Fort Wayne Metals. For more information on effective internships please call (260) 424-1435.
