WBCL RADIO NETWORK ‘HAMS IT UP FOR THE HOLIDAYS’

WBCL is excited to announce a special community outreach project for this final quarter of 2008. As we head into the holidays, knowing many have been affected by the economy, we plan to “Ham It Up for the Holidays” and help area food banks in the process! WBCL and Taylor University invite listeners to get involved by donating hams and/or cash to community food banks in our listening area.

In September, WBCL—with Taylor University as sponsor—conducted a T-shirt design contest for this project. The winning design will be featured on the front of the T-shirt.

During the week of November 17-20, WBCL will ask listeners to provide a ham. These will be donated to the local community food banks we have partnered with in our tri-state listening area. Those who provide a ham will receive one of the special T-shirts (one per family/person while supplies last at each drop off location). WBCL invites our faithful listeners to kick off the holiday season by reaching out to others. The WBCL vans will be in different locations each day of the outreach, covering the major areas of our listening audience. Details and locations are available at www.wbcl.org.
The WBCL Radio Network is a listener-supported, not-for-profit Christian radio station, broadcasting 24/7 at 90.3 fm to Fort Wayne and northeast Indiana; at 89.5 fm to northwest Ohio and southern lower Michigan; at 88.1 fm to west central Ohio; at 106.1 fm in Muncie; at 97.7 fm in Adrian; at 94.7 in Bronson, MI; and on the internet at www.wbcl.org.
