MARY E. HUMMER, 85
MARY E. HUMMER, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, August 1, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born May 9, 1923, in Kewanee, Illinois, she was a graduate of Chicago Art Institute. She was a Commercial Artist at J.C. Penney, Carson-Perry-Scott in Chicago, Frank Welch Advertising and Dettmer Summit Signs in Fort Wayne. She was also a member of St. Therese Catholic Church.

She is survived by son, Terry John (companion, Cindy Hiss) Hummer of Fort Wayne; daughter, Holly Ann Eykholt of Fort Wayne; sisters, Marcella Keller, Joanne Keller, Beverly Pond and Patricia Herzberg; grandchildren, Christopher John Hummer, Erin Elizabeth (Jonathan) Jelley, Patricia Holly Eykholt and Jacquelyn Louise Eykholt; and great-grandson, Jake Gentile.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John F. Hummer, in 2007; brother, Eddie Keller; and sister, Barbara Szymanski.
Service was Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one-hour prior at the church. Visitation was Monday, August 4, 2008 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
