SHIRLEY DAWN (PABST) WYSS, 66

SHIRLEY DAWN (PABST) WYSS, 66, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the family legislative residence in Indianapolis surrounded by her family and into the hands of her Lord and Savior. Born on January 31, 1942, in Woodburn, to Lawrence W. Pabst and Lavina Messmann, she lived in Huntington as a youth, then moved to New Haven, where she graduated in 1960. She was a homemaker and loved to work in her garden and with flowers.

She was deeply loved as a wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law and her favorite title, Grandmother. She was strong, and a fighter, finally losing her 16-year battle with breast cancer.

Mourning her passing are her husband of 43 years, State Senator Tom Wyss; daughters, Tamara (Michael) Senn of Indianapolis, Angela (Matt) Kelley of Fort Wayne; worshipped grandchildren, Henry Kelley, Sophia Senn, Ruby Kelley and Madeline Senn; sisters, Diane (John) Ryan of Angola, and Kandice (Donald) Carpenter of Fort Wayne; brother, Thomas Pabst of Greenville, IL and numerous extended family members.

Mass of Christian Burial was 11:00 am Wednesday St. Peters Catholic Church, 518 E. DeWald, with calling 1 hour prior. Fr. Phillip Widman and Fr. John Kuzmich officiating. Calling also 3 to 8 pm Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with Vigil service at 5 pm.

Preferred memorials to Indiana University Medical Breast Cancer Center in Indianapolis.
