HAROLD A. GORDON, 85
HAROLD A. GORDON, 85, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital. Born March 31, 1923, in Fort Wayne, he was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.
He retired from General Electric as an Electrician, in 1985. He was an Army Air Corp. veteran, serving in World War II as a pilot, Flight Engineer and Flight Instructor; and he was a member of American Legion 241. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Jeanette Gordon of Fort Wayne; daughter, Kathryn (Bruce) White of Fort Wayne; brother, Robert Gordon of Fort Wayne; sister, Phyllis Hawk of Irwin, Tennessee; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Ben Gordon, in 1970.
Service was Friday, April 18, 2008 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Drive, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation was Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne.
Burial in Eel River Cemetery.
