AMARYLLIS M. “AMY” MATHIAS, 77, passed away peacefully Monday, April 7, 2008, at Heritage Pointe, Warren.
She is best remembered by many as a loving and much-loved teacher at Pleasant Center Elementary School during the 1970’s, 1980’s and early 1990’s. Her family remembers her as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who nurtured them and shaped their lives.
She was a lifelong member of Waynedale United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Devon; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Carlabeth of Fishers and their two sons, Ethan and Corbin, and Mark and Debra of Irvine, California and their two daughters, Caitlin and Marissa.
Funeral service was Friday, April 18, 2008 at Waynedale United Methodist Church, 2501 Church St., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Larwill, Indiana.
Preferred memorials to Alzheimer’s Association and Waynedale United Methodist Church.
