ROBERT J. ANSBERRY, 84
ROBERT J. ANSBERRY, 84, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Parkview North Hospital. Born on April 4, 1923, in Fort Wayne, he retired from General Telephone in 1986, and previously had been a Pleasant Township Trustee. He was also a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Ansberry of Fort Wayne; daughters, Theresa (Michael) Akin and Carol (Jack) Underwood, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Diane (James) Yagel of South Whitley; son, Gary (Pat) Ansberry of Fort Wayne; stepchildren, Mike (Paula) Strasser of Grabill, Steven (Dawn) Strasser of Kendallville, Cindy (Michael) Reynolds of Fort Wayne and Linda Van Sant of South Point, Ohio; sister, Phyllis (Fred) Brand of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by spouse, Patrilla Joann Ansberry, in 1992; and daughter, Barbara Molargik, in 2002.
Service was Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 14623 Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation was Monday, February 18, 2008 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with Rosary service at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
