HAPPY BIRTHDAY ESTHER
Esther M. Benjamin was born on February 24, 1908 near Waterloo, Indiana. She married Marion L. Dirr on December 24, 1928 and they lived in Fort Wayne for several years. A daughter, Marcella was born in 1930. Then they moved to a farm near Edon, Ohio. A second daughter, Joan was born in 1932. In 1950 they moved back to Fort Wayne and she has lived here ever since. She was employed at St. Joseph Hospital in the Central Supply Department.
Marcella J. Peppler-Smith and her first husband, John had 3 sons, Gary (who was killed in 1976), Dan (Kathy) Peppler who live in Fort Wayne and Steve (Chris) Peppler of Mulberry, Indiana. (Gary’s wife) Sally still lives in Fort Wayne.
Joan has 4 sons. The oldest child Micheal is deceased. Also surviving are grandsons Gregory, Dennis & Neil Houser. She also has many numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Great-grandchildren include: Paula (Jeff) Clifford of Columbia City-they have 3 sons and another child is expected in July; Michelle Peppler & great granddaughter (Karah); John (Lichelle) Peppler have 4 children; Christina Peppler, all of Fort Wayne; Andy (Melissa) Peppler of New Haven and has 2 children.
It is our pleasure to have Ester Dirr as a resident at Riverbend Health Care. We celebrate along with her, her family, and friends as she has reached this milestone.
