CARROLL C. SCHMIDT, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Renaissance Village, Fort Wayne. Born January 29, 1918, in Crestline, Ohio, he was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He worked at G.E., City Utilities for 15 years, and I&M, before retiring in June of 1980. He was a member of National Model Railroad Association, Inc. and Circus Model Builders, Inc.
Surviving are his wife, Anne Schmidt of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Ruth Marquart of Fort Wayne; and friend and railroad hobbyist, Bill Gresham of Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles G. Schmidt and Bertha (Walker) Schmidt.
Funeral service was Saturday, February 2, 2008 at St. Therese Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
