OLIVE A. SAMPSON, 97, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, October 19, 2007, at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana. Born on October 6, 1910, in Portland, Indiana, she worked as a bookkeeper at Lupke Insurance Agency, retiring in 1973. She was also the owner and operator of Waynedale Laundry. She was a member of Retired Enlisted Military Association Auxilary, Air Force Sergeant’s Association Auxilary, and American Legion Auxilary.
Surviving are her daughter, Beverly J. Gebert of Fort Wayne; sister, Agnes Hughes of Fort Wayne; brother, James Beard of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Eric Sampson; and son, Richard Eugene Sampson. Service was Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation was Monday, October 22, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
