JOHN F. HUMMER, 87

JOHN F. HUMMER, 87, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Born February 16, 1920, in Blackford County, served in the Navy during World War II and Korean Conflict. He worked for Lincoln Life Insurance, retiring in 1986. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and former member of American Legion and Eagles.

Surviving are his wife, Mary E. Hummer of Fort Wayne; son, Terry John (Cindi Hiss) Hummer of Fort Wayne; daughter, Holly Ann Eykholt of Fort Wayne; sister, Mildred E. Howard of Muncie/ grandchildren, Christopher John Hummer, Erin Elizabeth (Jonathan) Jelley, Patricia Holly Eykholt, and Jacquelyn Louise Eykholt; and one great-grandson, Jake Jentile.

Funeral service was noon Saturday, June 30, 2007 at I.O.O.F. Twin Hill Cemetery, Pennville. Visitation was Friday, June 29, 2007 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in I.O.O.F. Twin Hills Cemetery.
