GIRL SCOUTS FROM WAYNEDALE SERVICE UNIT 13
The Girl Scouts from Waynedale Service Unit 13 and Foster Park Service 15 participated in the Waynedale Memorial Day parade and service on May 28th. Each of the girls wore the name of a veteran around their neck as a way of giving special recognition to those who served our country. The Girl Scouts have been an ongoing supporter of the parade for many years.
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Today as when founded in 1912, Girl Scouts help cultivate values social conscience and self-esteem in young girls while also teaching them critical life skills that will enable them to succeed as adults. In Girl Scouting – and its girl-only environment – girls discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together. Girl Scouts of Limberlost Council, chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA, administer programs in Adams, Allen, Dekalb, Huntington, Steuben and Wells counties in northeastern Indiana.
