RONALD K. HARDISTY, 75

RONALD K. HARDISTY, 75, left this earth Friday, May 18, 2007, while wintering in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was a resident of Fort Wayne, having spent his early years in Waynedale. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Marine Corps., stationed at Camp Pendelton, in California. He owned and operated Brass Bell Antiques for many years, being an avid antique dealer. He also owned and operated The Lantern Reception Hall for the past 40 years, before retiring in 2006. He also owned and managed The Lantern softball team. He was a board member of Crime Stoppers for many years and Chairman of the Board for the March of Dimes.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; stepdaughter, Denise Quance; stepsons, Errol (Becky) Dunn and Darrell (Elaine) Dunn; sister, Marilee Young; brother, James (Pat) Hardisty; 8 step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Grace (Allison) Hardisty; two sisters, Jean Bojrab and LouAnn Engelman; and two brothers, Stan and Willard Hardisty.

Memorial service was 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, at The Lantern on Ardmore Avenue, with a gathering from 4 to 8 p.m. Pastor Richard Pagan of Aboite Lutheran Church officiating. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons, Covington Knolls Park Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road.
