JOHN P. LUKINS SR., 94

JOHN P. LUKINS SR., 94, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Portage, Michigan died Thursday, November 30, 2006, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born May 19, 1912, in Martin, Michigan, he was a member of Travelers Protection Association. He worked as a Supervisor in the String division of Gibson Guitar, retiring in 1977 from Gibson, Inc., Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Surviving are his wife, Marian J. Lukins of Fort Wayne; son, John (Minnie) Lukins Jr. of Fort Wayne; sisters, Mary Jane Scheltema of Temperence, Michigan and Ruth Newman of Martin, Michigan; grandsons, Scott, Richard, John III and Benjamin Lukins; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Monday, December 4, at Elzey-Patterson & Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Funeral service was also Tuesday, December 5, at Gorden Funeral Residence, Inc. 528 Trowbridge St., Allegan, Michigan. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan, Michigan.
