LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Tammi McKee. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during the May 2nd primary and ask for your continued support during the general election on November 7th by casting your vote once again for Tammi McKee for the Fort Wayne Township Assessor. For those of you know may wonder why, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.

I have lived in Wayne Township for 32 of my 42 years. For the past 12 years, I have been a public servant in the Wayne Township Assessor’s office. I also worked for the County Assessor’s office for two years prior to that. What I have witnessed over the past several years while moving to a market based system has propelled me to become political and run for the Wayne Township Assessor position. I am very passionate about my job and the taxpayers it involves. I do believe that it is our duty to run for offices based on our own integrity, qualifications, and experience. I have continued my education with the Indiana Assessors Association, the International Assessing Association, and the Indiana Assessors Academy, having gone beyond the Level II certification.

I love my community and anyone out there who has ever worked with me one-on-one knows that. The appeals that we have heard about, that Wayne Township received, were as far as I know, more than any other township in the state. For the most part, our entire reassessment was hired to outside contractors. I worked exclusively with Jerry Zuber, the former Wayne Township Assessor, to get taxpayer dollars back to the taxpayers. I agree with Allen County Assessor candidate Stacy Lopshire, than an in-house team of specialists to analyze our market values would prevent this from happening in the future. This would save the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars.

I can call myself an assessor, but I need you to call me that by casting your vote for me on November 7th in the general election. Vote for me and I will be there for you. Again, thank you for taking the time to read my letter.

Sincerely,
Tammi McKee
