COME EARLY TO THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK

Elmhurst High School, will present the Pulitzer Prize winning play, “The Diary of Anne Frank” on Thursday, December 7th and Friday, December 8th, 2006 at the Elmhurst High School Theater, 3829 Sandpoint Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Ticket prices are $5.00 for students; $8.00 for adults; and children under 12 free.

A stellar cast will bring the poignant diary to life.

You will remember Elizabeth Burris as the queen in “Once Upon a Mattress.” Now, she is cast as Mrs. Van Daan, a selfish woman, who is proud of the things she owns, but now in hiding with the Franks.

Last year, Luke Somers had the lead in “Dracula” where he appeared to fly. This year he plays the father of Anne Frank who is destined to show what hope is made of.

Anne Frank, played by Becca Coffelt, won State honors with her speech contests. She is sure to touch your heart.

Paul Berghoff is playing Peter Frank who brings his cat, Mouchi, with him to the attic hideout.

Jayson Barrand does Mr. Van Daan, a gentleman with a huge appetite becomes acquainted with hunger and food rations.

You will remember Lauren Marlow as the Princess in “Once Upon a Mattress” last year. This year she plays Mrs. Frank who is the symbol of humanity in caring for the entire group in hiding.

Peter Schnellenberger gets to play the dentist, Mr. Dussel, who provides a moment of humor when Anne gives homemade gifts to all.

Mr. Kraler, Brandon Meuchel, and Miep played by Stephanie Knox, are the lifeline to the outside world for food and news.

Margot, by Sarah Smith, is Anne’s sister the family protector.

This show is a lifelong learning experience for all.

Tickets will be available at the door prior to the 7:30pm curtain time. Come early for best seats.
