MARTHA IRENE WILLIAMS, 92
MARTHA IRENE WILLIAMS, 92, passed peacefully Sunday, April 30, at Lutheran Home. Born February 23, 1914, in Dunkurk, Indiana, she retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools in 1975. She was an active member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 241.
“She was full of life and loved bingo. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.”
Survived by her son, Jim (Dawn) Walker of Quincy, Michigan; daughter, Sharon Beckman of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester F. Williams; one brother; and one sister.
Service was Thursday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling was also on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
