LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Please allow me to express my heartfelt thanks to every voter in Tuesday’s Primary Election. With your simple act of citizenship, you celebrated both the promise and the fulfillment of the American dream. All of us who live in northeast Indiana care deeply about our communities. By voting, you have exercised democracy’s most powerful tool, the ultimate symbol of our freedom.
Let me share my appreciation with the Reverend Kevin Boyd for his honorable, issues-oriented campaign. I was proud to be on the ballot with him and look forward to his continued participation in electoral politics. To all of my supporters, I extend my gratitude to each and every one of you for the countless ways in which you have helped the campaign do so far. I will be counting on you in the days ahead.
And I welcome new volunteers who want to join with me in changing the direction our country is heading. Together, we will take our hard work, our hope and our hometown values and transform them into a fresh start for Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District. Together, our campaign will focus on what really matters to working families: affordable health care, creating and keeping jobs, the security of our nation, educational excellence, energy independence and fair treatment for our veterans.
