CHARLES O. WISEL, 93

CHARLES O. WISEL, 93, of Roanoke, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at River Terrace Estates, Bluffton. Born January 1, 1913, in Churubusco, he graduated from Arcola High School and attended Fort Wayne Business College. He was a lifelong farmer in Lafayette Township after moving there in 1920. He also worked at the Indiana Highway Department and retired from Essex Wire, in 1985. He was a 50-year member of Roanoke Masonic Lodge, member of Essex Quarter Century Club and a lifelong member of Monson Chapel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are sons, Jerome (Karen) Wisel of Roanoke and John (Virginia) Wisel of Carmel; daughters, Jacqueline (Hans) Seela of Waverly, Ohio and Sarasota, Florida, Barbara Jean (Joe) Hanauer of Markle and Jolene (Lane) Netherland of Lawton, Oklahoma; brothers, Robert (Joan) Wisel of Roanoke and Kenneth (Opal) Wisel of Fort Wayne; sisters, Geraldine Reddin of Roanoke and Hillis Colchin of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Lucille Wisel, in 2001.

Funeral service was Friday, April 21, at Monson Chapel United Methodist Church, 11431 Lower Huntington Road, Roanoke, with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Visitation was Thursday, April 20, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with Masonic service. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco.
