TECHNICAL SERGEANT ANTHONY G. “TONY” VINING NAMED TRANING SUPPORT NCO OF THE QUARTER
Technical Sergeant Anthony G. “Tony” Vining has been named Training Support NCO of the Quarter by Lieutenant Colonel Regina T. Goff, Commander of the 737th Training Support Squadron at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
TSgt Vining is a Military Training instructor and the Assistant Non Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Basic Military Training Reception Center, and is responsible for reception and indoctrination of nearly 40,000 trainees annually, as well as coordinating visitation and events briefings for over 150,000 parents, spouses and family members attending Basic Military Training Graduation activities at Lackland Air Force Base.
Military Training Instructors are responsible for conducting basic military training for all newly enlisted Airmen, including those of the Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard. Lackland Air Force Base is the sole location for all Air Force Basic Training.
TSgt Vining is a Military Training Instructor, and has served in that capacity with the U.S. Air Force since September of 2003. Prior to his appointment to that position, he was a Communications-Computer Center Operator with the Air National Guard in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has 17 years of service. Vining is the son of Paul J. and Patricia L. Vining, of Roanoke.
