MARY CATHERINE SMITH, 84
MARY CATHERINE SMITH, 84, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at Riverbend Healthcare, Fort Wayne. Born January 7, 1921, in Fort Wayne, she was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She worked in Accounts Payable at Stillman’s for 19 years and in accounts receivable at J.C. Penney’s, retiring in 1982.
Surviving are daughters, Margaret Ann (Danny) Woods, Karen K. (Paul) Regelsperger and Mary (Richard) Hutchison, all of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Murlin Reinewald of Kendallville; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manley A. Smith, in 2003; and one great-grandson.
Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, October 10, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4525 Arlington Ave. Fort Wayne. Visitation was Sunday, October 9, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
