FOUND

Calico cat. Betty Marsh called The Waynedale News on Monday, February 14, 2005 to thank us for helping her locate her cat. “Calico” was lost on January 25, 2005.

This eight-year-old cat wandered from Woodheath Drive to Miss Smith’s barn on Ardmore Avenue. Miss Smith, who owns 6 indoor/outdoor cats said Calico had taken up residence in her barn without notifying anyone, but the other cats. When Miss Smith noticed the addition to her cat collection, she realized it was the same Calico that was reported missing in the February 9 issue of The Waynedale News. Miss Smith notified Betty. Calico was returned to her rightful owner, creating a tearful reunion. No boarding fees were assessed.

RETURNED

Charles Eberhard stopped in The Waynedale News Monday and mentioned that he had visited Waynedale Plumbing in 1964 to purchase some propane. He had just moved into Greenview Estates. The Hoke’s sold Charles the propane and charged him a $10 deposit on the propane container.

Last September 2004, Charles stopped by Waynedale Plumbing for some plumbing supplies and Homer returned the same $10 that was still stapled to Charles’s deposit slip, 41 years earlier. In Waynedale “the plumber never forgets!”
