Congratulations on your 73rd Anniversary! (We have read it for 45 of the 73 years)! That was quite a surprise last week to see the article my daughter, Cathy Smiley sent to you and the picture of our whole family. I didn’t know she had sent it. Thanks a lot. The young man who delivers our Waynedale News does a great job! Now it is on our front porch instead of just being thrown way out on the sidewalk next to the street like it used to be.

I enjoyed seeing the picture of the people who do the delivering and they look like a bunch of great people. We are lucky to have such a nice newspaper in our little corner of Fort Wayne. Keep up the good work. Russell & Virginia Deam

I will soon-just after February 1-be returning to Indiana. When I do, I will start renewing The Waynedale paper. Thank you-where is Mrs. Wayne E. Dale? I miss her very much. She always made me chuckle. I have been gone from Waynedale for years but it has always had a place in my heart. My husband and our children and I lived there for many years. My children attended Waynedale grade school, St. Therese grade school, and Elmhurst and Bishop Luers high schools. I will not be moving back to Waynedale but New Haven. I’ll get in touch when I get there. God bless you all, Barbara Claymiller-Lehigh Acres, Florida

I enjoy the old time articles. Lynn Shady

I prefer the U.S. Mail Delivery. We like the Wabash Methodist minister’s messages. Also, “News from the Hills” Alyce Faye Bragg. So encouraging to lift up Christ in this awful sinful age. Thank you, so much for these encouraging articles. Also history of Waynedale. Mrs. Foster

Need only 1 paper—doesn’t matter how I receive it—just so I get one. Enjoy it very much! Linda Kuhn

I live in Ohio, however work in Fort Wayne and have a small apartment. I loved my first exposure to the paper over 2 years ago.

Whenever my husband comes to visit we explore a new aspect of Waynedale. He fell in love with Mrs. Wayne E. Dale and we both miss her column and the social notices for the Nudist’s Club. In fact, we would go restaurant exploring after reading her column. We found Loco n motion, Hall’s, Rich’s, and many other locations.

Due to your paper we have also discovered Spyros, a true gem. I do most of my shopping at Hill’s. When our 4 1/2 year old granddaughter comes to visit, the Waynedale Bakery is a must and she is a self-proclaimed gourmet from San Francisco.

Waynedale is a lovely community to support financially; the people are friendly and the services offered are many. I hope the “natives” appreciate the gem that exists with the neighborhood feeling in a time of streamlining services and BIG everything. Sue Swartz-Centerville, Ohio

I look forward to the Waynedale Newspaper! I also appreciated that it is “Christian Friendly.” David & Lea Ann Beck
