ROBERT B. MARTIN, 92

ROBERT B. MARTIN, 92, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, December 30, 2004. Born in New York City, he received his Engineering Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1933 and began a long career with Phelps Dodge. He served as a civilian employee of the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945 and then retired from Phelps Dodge as Vice President of Sales after 44 years with the company in 1977. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church and Orchard Ridge Country Club.

Survivors are his daughters, Judy (Jim) Dils of North Manchester and Barbara M. (Richard) Sippel of Lake Worth, Florida; and grandchildren, Cara Dils of Seattle, Washington, Abby Dils of Chicago, Illinois and Wesley Sippel of West Palm Beach, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean M. Martin, in 1992.

Funeral service was Tuesday, January 4 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

JANICE PIPPIN, 46, of Ossian, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital. Born January 30, 1958, in Jasper County Illinois, she was an Office Business Manager at Riverbend Nursing Home, Fort Wayne. She attended Murray Missionary Church. She had a great love for her cats.

Surviving are her husband, Greg Pippin of Ossian; mother, Pauline Albert of Olney, Illinois, sons, Jamie Pippin and Joey Pippin, both of Ossian; sisters, Grace Wyatt of Olney, Illinois and Donna Spanagennel of Hidagol, Illinois; and fiancee of Joey, Lisa Neffler.

She was preceded in death by father, Charles Ray Albert.

Burial in Olney, Illinois. Arrangements by Elzey Patterson Rodak Funeral Home, 120 W. N. Mill St., Ossian.
