Troop #38, chartered through Calvary United Methodist Church, hosted many local youth for a Halloween party the last weekend in October.

The Boy Scouts invited two entire‑Cub Scout Packs to be “guests of honor.” Pack 3344 and Pack 3038 were treated to hayrides, games, prizes,‑and chili-dogs as part of their evenings festivities.

It was way too windy to have Mr. Bill Lamb construct any of the type of fires that he is familiar with for the evening campfire outside but it was not too windy for the hay ride wagon to make many appointed rounds. The hayride was most popular. The Southwest Conservation Club was good enough to provide shelter and the Scouts were able to play tag and a few other games. They were also able to throw darts at balloons in order to burst the balloons and win a prize.

Troop #38 had plenty of chili-dogs and snacks on hand, not to mention some Halloween Candies! That is the way to treat the Cub Scouts if we want them to feel welcome in the Boy Scout Program – and we do! Way to throw a party,‑Troop 38.
