NEW HORIZONS BAND
What: Invitation for you to come blow your horn. If you do not have a horn but want to play one, they will help you.
Where: Crescent Avenue Methodist Church
Who: Directing the band is retired music instructor John Morse. Morse directed programs at Elmhurst HS. He also served as third French Horn with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic
The Fort Wayne band meets twice a week. The New Horizons band is open to any adult who wants to make music. If you’ve never played an instrument before but want to, New Horizons will teach you.

WINE TASTING
Who: Cystic Fibrosis & Psychology Club at IPFW
What: Wine tasting of over 70 wines, food from local restaurants and alternative drink stations that include import beer and martinis

Where: Historical Tower Bank Building in downtown Fort Wayne
Cost: The entrance fee in advance is $40, which includes a free wine tasting glass, or $45 at the door. There will be live music as well as a silent auction. Proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the event will be sponsored by TransWorks. 90- cents of every dollar will go to the foundation. No advanced registration is required. Students are asked to bring $10 to take the test and two #2 pencils.
All eighth grade students are welcome to attend. The test is to determine placement for the 2005-2006 school year and to test students on academic merit to award financial scholarships.
The makeup date will be December 4 from 8:30am-Noon.
