CATHERINE M. THOMPSON, 87
CATHERINE M. THOMPSON, 87, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, October 24, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital. Born November 14, 1916, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ellen (Wahl) Garver. She retired in 1972 from General Electric Co. as a factory worker, after 40 years of service. She was a member of the GE Elex Club, Forest Park United Methodist Church and the ASPCA, and volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital for several years.
Survivors include sister, Jeanne Volker of Fort Wayne; brothers, Richard A. Garver of Fairfax, Virginia and Thomas B. Garver of Fort Wayne; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Thompson, in 1980, a brother, Glenn Seabold, and a sister, Betty McGill. Service was Thursday, October 28 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with the Rev. Brenda Ginder officiating. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
