WILMA REITER FELGER, 96
WILMA REITER FELGER, 96, died Monday, August 23, 2004, at Lutheran Home. The Fort Wayne native, was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church and was employed as the first deputy at The Allen Co.untyRecorder’s Office from 1924 to 1947, and also worked at Dreibelbiss Title Company, from 1947 until her retirement in 1975. Mrs. Felger was a devoted volunteer for many years at The Allen County Public Library and enjoyed her work there immensely. Ironically, her family home was on the same lot now occupied by the library’s new Pontiac branch, which opened on Monday, the same day Wilma died. She was fondly known by many in the local radio media as “Aunt Wilma” having made regular phone calls and sent letters of encouragement and support for many years.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Felger in 1975.
Survivors include cousin and nieces, including Anita Schroer of Fort Wayne, Althea (David) Koenig of Defiance, Ohio and Marguerite McDaniel of West Lafayette.
Funeral Service was Friday, August 27 in the Chapel at Lutheran Home, 6701 S. Anthony Blvd. Burial in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements by Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St.
The preferred memorial is Lutheran Home.
