PAINTED PICTURE PRESENTED TO DAVID PARRISH AMERICAN LEGION POST 296
On July 16, 2004, Russell McMillen, a retired Design Engineer from International Harvester, accompanied by his wife Mabel, donated a painting to American Legion Post 296. The hand painted picture was a replica of Post 296, scaled to size and presented to Commander Larry Thiele and his wife Helen. Larry and Helen accepted on behalf of all the members of the post.
Russell suggested the picture be raffled off and that all proceeds be applied to the restoration costs of Post 296, incurred in 2003.
