A WEEKEND BACK IN TIME
Who: Fox Island Park
Where: 7324 Yohne Rd.

Cost: $2 per person
Nature has been supplying people in the Waynedale area with the things they have needed for thousands of years. Join us for a weekend back in time and try to live off the land for yourself. Watch Erik Vosteen create stone knives, projectile points, and similar stone tools through flint-knapping, and try to create one yourself. Give natural dyes a try, or make a pioneer era toy to take home, and have Bob McCullough of IPFW Department Anthropology tell you more about what you have. Meet local archaeologist John Waddell, and find out what sorts of archaeological activities are going on right here in Allen County. The Fort Wayne History Center will also be giving demonstrations. These activities will be going on all weekend at Fox Island County Park, around Bowman Lake. This will be a great weekend for all ages.
