GERALD W. “JERRIE” ADAMS, 57

GERALD W. “JERRIE” ADAMS, 57, of Churubusco, died Monday, January 26, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital. Born September 16, 1946, in Fort Wayne, he recently retired as technical service representative for Dana Corp. He graduated and was certified as an aircraft mechanic at Colorado Aero-Tech in Bloomfied, Colorado. He graduated in 1964 from South Side High School and attended Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. He was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Fellowship of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 499 and SAE International. He enjoyed golf and skiing and was an automotive enthusiast.

Surviving are his wife Gwen Adams; son Nick “Cody” Adams; father Morris Adams of Clearwater, Fla.; sister Bonnie (Patrick) Kelley of Six Mile, S.C.; brother John (Gail) Adams of Black Forest, Colo.; sister Michele (Dino Michaels) Adams of Dunedin, Fla.; sister-in-law Diana (Curt) Westby of Kimbal, Neb.; brothers-in-law Bob (Chris) Wagner of Goshen, IN, Rick Wagner of Park City, Utah, Randy (Kris) Wagner of Rapid City, S.D.; five nephews and seven nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother Maxyne Adams.

Service was Saturday, January 31st, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery.
