MARCELLA DOROTHY ORT, 74

MARCELLA DOROTHY ORT, 74, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at her home. Born November 10, 1929, in Fort Wayne, she was a homemaker, a member of the Waynedale United Methodist Church, for over 50 years, and enjoyed singing in the WUMC choir. She enjoyed photography, music and was an avid supporter and fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters Karen S. Humbarger of Markle, Debbie A. Custer of Elkhart; brother William Redmon of Werner Robins, Ga.; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband,James C. Ort, in 1995; her parents Roy and Minnie (Glover) Redmon; sisters Beverly Myers, Constance Redmon, and brother Bob Redmon.

Service was Saturday, January 3, 2004 at Waynedale United Methodist Church, 2501 Church St., Fort Wayne. Visitation was on Friday January 2nd, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, and one hour before the funeral on Saturday at the church. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
